Clinical safety study

As part of the process to bring The AstaFactor^® to market, Mera Pharmaceuticals conducted a human clinical safety study with thirty-three volunteers.

The ages of the multi-ethnic group of fifteen male and eighteen female participants, ranged from 27 to 62.

Volunteers took on a daily basis, for 29 consecutive days, a supplement containing either of two doses (4 mg and 19 mg) of natural astaxanthin, from Haematococcus pluvialis produced with Mera Pharmaceuticals proprietary technology.

Volunteers underwent complete physical medical examinations and extensive blood and urine analyses (before, during and after the study ended), in order to detect any possible signs of toxicity.

Blood and urine analyses were conducted by a professional clinical laboratory, while volunteers were examined by two independent physicians.

The study concluded to the absence sign of toxicity from the test material.
